REITIA II — 11 July 2026
Clay, fire, water: a threshold ritual on the banks of the Brenta River.
The ritual returns to its origin: we will gather clay with our own hands from an ancient Roman quarry, shape talismans in the stone exedra on the riverbank and fire them in a pit kiln with master ceramist Antonio Bonaldi.
Essential schedule
- 8:00 — meeting point in front of Villa Bianchi Michiel for clay gathering.
- 9:00 — back to Riva Volpato: shaping of the talismans and lighting of the pit kiln.
- From 10:00 — drawing on the sacred goose medals and threshold ritual in the water.
- Sunday morning — opening of the cooled kiln and extraction of the fired pieces. Those who wish may complete the ritual with the talisman shaped and fired the day before, or keep it for another occasion.
The water threshold can be crossed through full or partial immersion, each person according to their own pace.
You are welcome to join for the whole morning or only from 10:00 for the threshold ritual on the river.
Afterwards, for those who wish, Ca’ Rezzonico at Rezzonico Naturalmente.
